The NLP Communication model presuppose that we Delete, Distort and Generalise the external event through our set of filters; Time/Space, Matter/Energy, Language, Memories, Decisions, Metaprograms, Values & Beliefs, Attitudes, that directly influence our internal representation of the external world. We delete portions of experience determined by the ability to handle abstract data and a preference for absorbing data into manageable chunks, we then further generalise the event on past learned experiences and behavioural responses and finally distort the event by interpreting it in a way that best fits our internal world.
